Who We Serve

The CIA Officers Memorial Foundation’s original charter primarily provided educational support (college or trade school) to the children of officers who were killed in the line of duty. Over the past 20 years, our mission has expanded to include providing financial and educational assistance to a broader range of deserving families to include families of CIA officers who died on active duty and those who were severely wounded while serving abroad.

Eligibility

There are two levels of support for eligible families:

Memorial Star beneficiaries

The children and spouses of CIA officers who were killed in the line of duty.

Active-Duty beneficiaries

The children and spouses of CIA officers who:

  • Die while on active duty.

  • Are severely injured while on active duty.

The CIA Officers Memorial Foundation determines eligibility and will also consider providing other types of support to officers and their families based on specific circumstances and the availability of funds.

Benefits

Once a family is determined to be qualified for support, the CIA Officers Memorial Foundation ensures financial assistance for, but not limited to:

  • Family Support Checks

  • Educational Scholarships
